Folder Stats Installation
=========================

Prerequisites
-------------

Before installing **Folder Stats** verify the following:

1. Make a full backup of your vault so you can revert if anything goes wrong.
   See the `M-Files backup guide`_.
2. Download the ``FolderStats.<VERSION>.mfappx`` file.
3. Confirm you have Administrator rights to the target vault.
4. Have your license file available. Without a valid license the application runs in trial mode.

Installing the Application
--------------------------

1. Start M-Files Admin.
2. Select the target vault.
3. Right-click the vault name and choose ``Applications``.
4. In the dialog choose ``Install…``.
5. Select the ``.mfappx`` file.
6. Answer ``Yes`` when asked to restart the vault.

Installing the License
----------------------

1. Start M-Files Admin.
2. Select the vault where Folder Stats is installed.
3. Right-click the vault name and choose ``Applications``.
4. Select **Folder Stats** from the list.
5. Click ``License…`` and select the ``.lic`` file provided by M-Flyt AS.
6. Apply the license.

Finding Your M-Files Serial Number
-----------------------------------

Finding Your Vault GUID
-----------------------

Right-click the vault in M-Files Admin and choose ``Properties``.
The Vault Unique ID appears under the vault name on the **General** tab.
